چکیده
This study was carried out to determine the effects of different salt concentrations on germination and seedling growth sweet sorghum [Sorghum bicolor var. saccharatum (L.) Mohlenbr.] cultivars. The research under laboratory conditions cultivars Ulusoy, Sorge, Biomarl?, Erdurmu?, Gül?eker were used as plant material. Five four (NaCl) (0-, 100-, 200-, 300 mM) subjects experiments which set up in randomized plots a factorial design with 4 replications. In study, parameters such percentage (GP), mean time (MGT), index (GI), coefficient uniformity (CUG) speed (GS), root shoot fresh weight, dry length, lateral number length investigated. As result research, it determined that (excluding MGT) decreased concentration increased. decrease characteristics significant at 100 mM dose according average values cultivars, observed more sensitive stress development stage than stage. there differences between genotypes salt-stressed during stages. this sense, Ulusoy Erdurmu? prominent terms tolerance. It is important use tolerant considering genotypic cultivation salt-affected areas.

Role of Copper on Physiological Parameters and Salt Tolerance in Sweet Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) Cultivars
This research was carried out to determine effect of sorghum cultivars and copper foliar spray on physiological traits under saline water situation via split plot experiment based on randomized complete blocks design with four replications during 2015 and 2016 year. The main plot consisted sorghum cultivars at three level (Kimia, KGS10, KGS4) and Copper foliar spray (C1: 0 or control...
متن کاملEffects of ethephon on growth and yield of sweet sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L. Moench) at different growth stages
There is little information about the effects of ethephon ripening hormone on the yield of sweet sorghum in Thailand. Therefore, this study aimed to evaluate the impact of ethephon hormone applied at different growth stages of three cultivars of sweet sorghum on its growth and yield. The experiment was conducted from December 2016 to May 2017 at a research plot of the Faculty of Agricultural Te...
متن کاملInduction of Salt Tolerance in Two Cultivars of Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) by Exogenous Application of Proline at Seedling Stage
This study was carried out to study the possibility of salt tolerance induction in two cultivars of sorghum by exogenous application of different levels (0, 50 mM and 100 mM) of proline. Salt treatments (100 mM) adversely affected the germination percentage, growth and chlorophyll contents of both cultivars. However, applications of proline alleviated the adverse effects of salt stress. However...
متن کاملSeed germination and seedling growth of three sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) genotypes as affected by low temperatures
Sorghum (Sorghum bicolor L.) originated in the semi-arid tropics and generally is sensitive to low-temperature stress. Chilling stresses include low temperature (below 20 °C) and freezing injury (below 0 °C). In this study seed germination and seedling growth of three sorghum genotypes (KFS1, KFS2 and Speedfeed) were examined under four temperature regimes (35/15, 20/10, 13/10 and 11/8) conditi...
متن کاملSelection of plant growth-promoting bacteria in sweet sorghum (Sorghum bicolor (L.) Moench) under the effects of salinity
Background Sorghum, a grassy non-halophyte, it is both drought and salinity tolerant, and is considered a promising crop for semiarid regions. During the last 20 years, its culture has expanded in Brazilian production by 780%, reaching 1,928,970 tons in 2009 [1]. Salinization of the soil and lack of rain are increasing constraints in semiarid regions. They predominate in northeastern Brazil. Th...
